Let me start with, she is alive and well. SORE, brused, but alive and well. She keeps asking how she didn't die in this one. The window was shattered all over her and it took prying the door open to get her out. The driverside door is concave and was pushed against her leg but did not do major harm. Although the seatbelt kept her from going through the windshield, her bruse across her body will remind her to wear it ALWAYS!
On her way to RI, on the night of May 24, to assist me and her grandmother at the Newport Pirate Festival, my daughter was sideswiped by a hit and run driver who was in a high speed chase with a CT State Police Officer. They did catch the SOB and I can assure you that he will not be driving for a VERY LONG time. We spent the night at the hospital in Putnam, CT until 4 am. As a result, we had to cancel taking Shire Attire to the festival which was suppose to be the start of our season.
I am hoping that this does not foreshadow this entire season for us. We have worked past my mother's stroke and now this. I have had some medical tests as well but those results will not be in until next week. Nothing dire there, just something that can improve my well being if I can get some things under control.
Hope to see folks at the LI Pirate Fest - if the powers that be allow it.
And the beat goes on, and the beat goes on...

Thank all that is holy that your daughter is fine. Sore and bruises go away soon enough.
SusieAnd, since all turned out well, she's got a cool story too. ;)
