So, here we are, month after my last blog. My daughter is on the mend. We were VERY successful at the Long Island Pirate Faire. Life is returning to normal.
But there have been some side effects to last month's happenings.
1) The SOB who hit my daughter still has his license to drive in the state of CT. I was told by the guy at the body shop that a week after the accident, he was released from the psyciatric ward to his mother. Mommy, bought him a motor cycle and now he is back in the hospital with 2 broken legs. I have resisted the urge to send a pot of poison ivy to his room!
2) After I wrote that last blog, my daughter received an email offering her the chance of a lifetime! She was sent an offer to go to Ireland and ride in international competition! Unfortunately, it was determined by her chiropractor 2 days later, that she pulled (possibly ripped) a shoulder muscle and was ordered to not ride for at least the next 6 weeks. This is to prevent a more serious injury that could result in never being able to compete again.
But dispite all this, we continue. We are preparing to go to Sterling. My Mom is buzzing and fussing to get things done. She is so excited, she gets her mords wixed when talking about it. But she is more normal now than before the news that we were going. Her thoughts are clear even if her words aren't. This is good therapy for her!
So, I hope to see you all at Sterling. May you be there in spirit if you can not afford the gas!
